Ok, so I really don't get this fishing thing, but last night I had a lesson in fly fishing. It is slightly fascinating that the 'flies' are made to look like small animals that the fish would eat, but even more fascinating is that I managed a 'Supermarket Sweep' - style round of 'Guess the fly'. I got 3/3 - one was a shrimp (the glass eyes gave it away), one was a daddy long legs (the knotted pheasant tail feather fibre gave that one away) and the third was a dragon fly (well, who wouldn't have got that one?!).
One great piece of information that I have to share is the about the "Tup's Indespencible" fly......it's made from ram's testicles....???!!!!
I mean, come on, how many fish do you know that would want to eat that?
